The Heat is on in Saigon

It's been hot and humid everyday, but yesterday the sun was also shining, making it feel even hotter. Of course that is the day we signed up for a tour of the city. It was good, just made for a long day. We visited a pagoda in Chinatown (who knew HCMC had a Chinatown), the War Remnants museum (lots of sobering pictures and stories), the Reunification Palace, a factory that employs people with special needs (many due to the war), Notre Dame Cathedral and the post office.

Aiden and his girlfriend were very interested in our tour guide's voice

Aiden was quite the celebrity on this stop

Uncle Ho is everywhere

Being a tourist and a celebrity is hard work!

One of my favorite memories of the Vietnamese people is their obvious love for children. Honestly, it can get a little old if you're out for an extended period of time, but it is still such a heartwarming thing to me.

Your little man is QUITE the charmer! Glad you guys are enjoying yourselves despite the heat.

Samantha, the history buff, is loving reading about Vietnam & seeing your pics. We didn't post last night because I was too tired after she read and re-read all your posts again last night! ha We are very excited to meet Aiden. Grandma is doing a great job getting the Aiden in all the right positions for all the pics as well! OR he is just that photogenic??? WAY TOOO CUTE!
