Spring Break Part I

Spring break started last Thursday. I was so looking forward to some time at home with Aiden.  We weren't home tons but we sure did have fun! On Friday morning I took Aiden to soccer and then we went out to lunch at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant.  Aiden fell asleep on the way home which was perfect- he'd be well rested for our next event- bubblefest!  Gymb0ree had a big bubble event at a local park.  There were storms heading in but we still got in about 45 minutes of fun.

We laid low most of Saturday but Aiden had a birthday party for a classmate at M0nkey J0e's that evening.  On Sunday we went to church and then had two egg hunts.  The first one involved a helicopter that dropped the eggs!  The weather was pretty crummy that morning. We arrived about 45 minutes early expecting big crowds.  People must have assumed the egg drop wasn't going to happen-there were no crowds.  Lucky for us it was a go!  They did put some of the eggs on the ground in case the weather didn't get better but they  dropped the rest from the helicopter.

 

There were 12,000 eggs...for probably no more than a couple hundred of kids.  Aiden's age group probably had 30-40 kids in it.  He was in egg heaven! A couple of times he just sat down and started putting the eggs in his basket. 

 

 Just a few hours later we had our church egg hunt and carnival.  It was literally 30 degrees warmer for this egg hunt!

 All of the carnival games were a hit!  What a busy start to spring break!  Lots of fun though and more fun to come!
